Tech Skills by Mail

I'm Scott. Tech Skills by Mail is my project, run through Automation Web Lab LLC in New Jersey. This page explains what I collect when you sign up, why, and how to get it removed. No dark patterns, no fine-print games.

What I collect

When you reserve a spot, I collect your first name, email, and zip code. If you go on to enroll, I also collect your name, your parent's name, their mailing address, and — only if you choose to share them — your phone number and any notes you write about your parent.

Why I collect it

To run the beta: to mail lessons to your parent, to email you the weekly check-ins, and to reach you if something needs sorting out. I may also email you now and then about Tech Skills by Mail down the road — you can opt out of that anytime (see below).

Where it lives

Your information is stored in Google Sheets (Google Workspace), and emails are sent through Google. The mailing address is used to send physical letters through the postal service. That's the whole list of who touches it.

What I don't do

I don't sell, rent, or trade your information. I don't share it with anyone beyond what's needed to actually run the service — Google to store it, the postal service to deliver the letters. That's it.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails anytime. You can also email me to see what I have on file, or to have it deleted entirely — I'll take care of it, no hoops.

Reaching me

Email scott@automationweblab.com — it comes straight to me. If I ever make a meaningful change to this page, I'll update the date at the top.
